Sports: Vipers SC have won their eighth StarTimes Uganda Premier League title after beating Maroons 3-0 at Wankulukuku on Tuesday May 19.
The Venoms secured the championship in style as their closest rivals, KCCA, were held to a goalless draw by URA at Nakivubo, ending their hopes of catching up with the leaders.
Vipers now top the league table with 64 points from 29 matches. The team has recorded 18 wins and 10 draws and remained unbeaten on the pitch throughout the season.
Their only loss came through forfeiture after they failed to honour their opening fixture against Kitara at the start of the campaign.
KCCA stay second with 59 points and can only reach a maximum of 62 points, confirming Vipers as champions with one game left to play.
